" Requiem For The Homeless ", when I ride my bike down into ( O K C ) to draw and paint, I'm always finding homeless bothers and sisters in the streets. This series of paintings,I'm dedicating to the unfortunate members of our family_____

Fiber Art
Artists Flag Book:  Handmade paper and watercolor
By Gail M. Trice

Picture
The inspiration for this book is the story from Greek mythology wherein a young woman named Arachne, having mastered the art of tapestry, challenges the goddess Athena to a weaving contest.  Athena, fearing defeat by a mere mortal but not wanting to destroy such an accomplished artist, transforms Arachne into a spider.  Thus, making it possible for Arachne to continue creating her amazing tapestries.

This book is dedicated to another masterful weaver and fiber artist, Pamela Husky.

A considerable percentage of my art is done in " Plain air " . Old architecture and people gotng about their daily tasks are favorite subjects for me to paint . I draw extensively on my small paintings and sketches when creating larger works in the studio .
